Kelvinator Fridges

This is a famous brand in Australia, and still one of the most popular. Kelvinator has an excellent reputation and very high quality products on a par with anything else on the market. This is a real family fridge brand, a true household name since the 1950s. They’re also the only fridge brand ever to have an actual “antique” market for their products.

Kelvinator make a full range of modern top and bottom mount fridges from 360 litre size up to side by side fridges of 610 litres. The Kelvinator range is well known for good depth and door storage, and that design concept has remained.

Kelvinator adopted the modern fridge styles and design motifs in the 1960s, producing the big upright door-storage fridges when their competitors were still producing old “clunker” single door fridges with no door storage.

The modern Kelvinator range is actually pretty typical of a brand which has remained fully modern and competitive for 60 years.

• The smaller Kelvinator fridges: These are good apartment fridges, and can fit into whatever space is available easily. They’re very good as portable fridges, and they’re easy to handle, being quite light for their size.
• The mid size range fridges: Bigger, but equally adaptable, these are the true family home fridges of this generation. These include the bottom mount fridges, great if you’re buying bulk.
• The side by side fridges: These are marginally small by comparison with some side by sides in other brands, but not by much, and they’re cheaper. These very functional fridges are the best of the family size fridges, with Kelvinator’s reputation and national service capabilities to back them up.
